In August 1945, Japan surrendered and the army ofUnion of Soviet Socialist Republics and people’srepublic of Mongolia liberated Inner Mongolia from Japanese rule. Confronting complicated historical choices, inner Mongolians went through a hard time at that era. Today more and more archives have affirmed that the leader of People’s Republic of Mongolia, Marshal Choibalsan had the great ambition of establishment of an independent Mongolian country including all parts of Mongolian people. In August 1945, on the day after soviet union’s declaration of war on Japan, he proclaimed war on Japan and made a mobilization speech to the people of the whole country on the radio. Then Mongolian army entered Inner Mongolia according to his command. Although being a member of the winner’s camp, Mongolia failed to achieve the dream of unifying all Mongolians after war because of many kinds of reasons. However, at the time of war and turbulence, in response to the call of Mongolia , many ethnic Mongolians from all parts of Inner Mongolia went to Mongolia and most of them settled and lived there all life. The story of these migrants is the main subject of this paper.
This paper consists of four parts: introduction, main body, conclusion and bibliography. The introduction presents the thesis and the structure of the paper. In Chapter 1, the author significance and value of the subject, research methods of the related archive documents, we introduced the time and cause of their travel to Mongolia and describes their living situation in Mongolia. In Chapter 2, according to related literal and oral local historical materials and archives, the author describes a variety of their encounter and fate when living in Mongolia or returning to their homeland. Chapter 3 talks about both positive and negative influences of the Inner Mongolia liberation war. The part of conclusion summarizes the basic argument put forward in the thesis. The bibliography includes historical event schedule, oral historical materials and some related pictures and archives. |
